Great place with lots of brunch/breakfast variety and pastries! The pancakes were insanely fluffy and packed with blueberry flavor! We also tried the Madeleine breakfast and the chocolate eclair, both delicious and nicely presented!! Highly recommend!

I had the goatcheese sandwish, sehr lecker. I sit outside with my baby (kinderwagen) but I think we could have fit inside also.

We recently moved to the neighborhood and are so happy to have discovered Patisserie Madeleine. The pancakes and coffee are the best we've had in Hamburg! In just three weeks, we’ve already visited three times, and I’m sure it’s going to become a regular spot for us. A cozy place with great food—what more could you ask for?

Patisserie Madelenie is a cute small neighborhood cafe in Altona. We went for brunch and coffee and it was just delicious, really enjoyed the coffee with the foam drawing 😻. The place is super cozy and the atmosphere is chill and family friendly as well. The service was friendly and inviting, all and all really recommended to visit when you’re around 👌🏼

Patisserie Madeleine is a cozy neighborhood café located in a very calm area.
We were 6 people (vegan and non-vegan) who went here for breakfast, we were all happy afterwards. Bread and other baked goods (almost all of which I managed to miss in my photos) were of high quality, the omelette/scrambled eggs was well-cooked (if a tiny bit undersalted, but that is easy to adjust at the table), and the pancakes (American-style) were fantastic, probably the best I've had. The cheeses for the "Käsefrühstück" were nice and flavorful, no strange margarine cheeses on the plate.
Prices were quite decent, my half of the company paid 44 Euro for 3 breakfasts (pancakes, cheese platter+bread, omelette+bread), two coffees and an extra croissant. I've gotten a lot lower quality for the same price per person or sometimes more. Note that drinks are not included in the listed prices for the breakfasts.
While there was not a ton of room for kids (we got one chair for our son, but didn't see any others, and the physical space is a bit limited), there was a diaper changing table in the womens' restroom, which with the proximity to a playground makes it a quite ok place to go with kids (depending on the kid, naturally).
It got a bit loud indoors in spite of not so many people, probably they could improve that with some sound absorption in the ceiling or similar.

Coffee is great, meals are incredible, cakes are amazing! A beautiful spot in Ottensen, opposite a playground. Lovely indoor seating areas and outdoor seating, complete with umbrellas and blankets. Service is also great. I just hope this gem stays a long time and that the quality stays this good. Thank you Madeline team! We will be back soon :)
A must-visit cafe at the heart of Hamburg. The menu is full of flavours, and the service is impeccable. The atmosphere is delightful and the staff are very welcoming indeed. Highly recommended.

Nice café with heaps of fresh pastries and good coffee. We had the Madeline breakfast and pancake. All really good but the pancake was something else, would come back again. Definitely recommend.

Pancakes/ waffles are great, service is good. Like in other German restaurants/ places, best is to reserve a table for your party :) would come n try the daily cake next time in the afternoon. Tables are quite close together so maybe you need to ask help with your baby trolley, if you come here with your kids.

Great breakfast location. The scrambled eggs as well as the pancakes and the flat white are perfect. You can not ask for more. The prices are reasonable. You can not do ANYTHING wrong with this place. They do not have wifi though and the mobile connection inside is not the best but a little time offline helps to enjoy the food even more.

Very authentique and spacious cafe (one of the best in Ottensen, in my opinion). We had an amazing waffle here, both light and delicious at the same time. Coffee was also very good. Definitely will be back next time to try their breakfast.

A fantastic place perfectly fitting into Ottensen. A charming and delightful ambience with some of the best breakfast in town. You get french pastries alongside with fantastic pancakes and small meals.
